The Anaheim Ducks have acquired defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin in a trade with the Buffalo Sabres.

The Ducks sent a fourth-round draft choice in 2025 to Buffalo on Friday night. Anaheim originally acquired the pick from Minnesota in the deal that sent John Klingberg to the Wild last March.

Jeff Petry is on the move -- again.

The veteran defenseman was traded from Montreal to Detroit on Tuesday, in exchange for defenseman Gustav Lindstrom and a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2025.

The Canadiens also retained 50% of the salary remaining on Petry's contract -- working out to approximately $2.4 million -- which runs through 2024-25.

The San Jose Sharks granted longtime defenseman Erik Karlsson's trade request Sunday, sending him to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a three-team deal that also involves the Montreal Canadiens for a haul that includes veteran forward Mikael Granlund and a 2024 first-round pick.

Along with Granlund and the pick, which is top-10 protected, the Sharks acquired winger Mike Hoffman and defenseman Jan Rutta.
